My Story

Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to [email protected] with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team NOT IN VPDate into Rescue: 4/19/2024 Reason for being in rescue: breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted. Hannah came to CPR with her five newborn puppies. She lovingly raised her family and has now been spayed, vaccinated, tested for Heartworms and is negative and micro chipped, and now that the babies have all found their homes, she is now looking for a home of her own. Weight: 12 lbs Height: 10 inch at the shoulder est Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? First preference will be given to homes that have a fenced in yard. This beautiful young lady has never lived life without the security of a fenced area to romp and play and handle her bathroom duties. Anyone who adopts without a fence will need to understand that the first few weeks will be leash training and potty outside on leash training, and she will need some time to learn all the skills. What kind of home would be best for me? Hannah Charlotte is a beautiful little girl seeking her forever home after being released from a breeder. Hannah Charlotte needs her adopter to have the following in abundance, patience, love, understanding, compassion, forgiveness, calmness, and empathy. She needs taught basic commands like sit, stay, come, down, etc. She does not walk on a leash, so leash training is in her future. Her patient, kind, and loving adopter will bond with her through this training, providing love and treats as her rewards. A home with another dog is a must for Hannah Charlotte as she will learn from your dog how to become a dog and a pet as well gain confidence and become your loving life-long companion. She needs to be in home without children because sudden noises and movements frighten her. A retiree or someone who works from home would be best for her and she'd be at home in either a house or apartment. Underneath her shy shell is a gentle loving girl that we see emerging with each passing day. If you are ready to open your heart and home to Hannah Charlotte, you'll discover an abundance of love waiting to blossom and both your lives will be changed for the better. Hannah no real experience with children. We do not know how she would do with children under 10 years old. The biggest concern about placing her in a home with children is watching that all important front door. If it goes flying open, she may go flying out and that could be a problem. Charlotte Hannah's home needs to understand that for the first few months she should be considered a flight risk. What is my personality like? When Hannah first arrived, she was raising her five babies. That took priority over everything else. As they grew, and she was finally was able to look around and see what it happened to her, she started trying to learn about her brave New World. Now that her babies are placed, she is adjusting to life with us and doing extremely well. Charlotte Hannah lives at our farm, but she is in personal foster with our Director. At that very dog savvy home, Hannah is active, excited to be with her people, and ready to take on the world every day. Foster mom Donna says she's into everything and always at someone's feet or otherwise right in the middle of all the action. Away from what has become her home, she is timid and shy with people. Since she has accepted her foster family and is very interactive with them, that tells us that she is going to learn much more about the world very quickly. Hannah Charlotte may be experiencing the world for the first time but she's taking it all in stride and she's eager to learn more. Hannah Charlotte gets along great with other dogs, enjoying playtime with them and she loves loves any toys she can find. She's often found contentedly playing with or happily toting around a squeaky toy. She also loves sprinting around the yard outside. With people Hannah Charlotte is very shy and timid as she adjusts to her new environment. Everything is new for her, but she is making progress every day. How do I act when I first meet new people? When first meeting new people, Hannah Charlotte is very reserved and may run from them. However, once she is in your arms, she transforms into the sweetest companion imaginable. Other tips and tidbits: We estimate Hannah Charlotte's birth date as on or around 4/19/2020. One of Hannah's baby adopters had a DNA test done on Hannah's daughter. The results came back that the baby girl was some poodle, some cocker spaniel, and some Pomeranian. Since we were told that dad of the pups is Choco, a purebred toy poodle, we're thinking the Cocker and the Pomeranian came from mom. She's all spaniel in body type and wiggly little bobbed tail but her size is more of a Pomeranian. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
