Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is an 8 year old chihuahua mix, maybe with jack russell terrier. He is a quiet little guy weighing under 10 lbs. He is used to being a lap dog and settles in quickly if you let him. Of course, like most dogs in shelters across the country, Charlie Brown has a story behind his coming to a shelter. Rumor has it that Charlie Brown went to jail with his dad. From there he went to our county shelter, where he waited for his family to come and take him home. After the legal holding period, still no one had come to reclaim Charlie Brown. So we brought him to our shelter to stay with us until we can find the right home for him. At 8 years old, he is just hitting his stride and should have many more years left. We're hoping that this time around, Charlie gets the home he should have had from the beginning.....his forever home. Charlie Brown tested negative for heartworm and is on prevention. We've given him initial vaccines & wormer. He is very clean in his kennel and may be housetrained. Charlie Brown will be neutered October 21, '09 and will then be available for out of area adoption.
