Charlie Brown is a mellow, sensitive 4 – 5 year old Chocolate boy with soft amber eyes who enjoys a relaxed, easy-going, quieter lifestyle. Our trainer who met Charlie described him as a “hearth dog”. While Charlie is a large Lab, he’s rather overweight at around 100 pounds and needs to trim up to closer to 85 pounds. Charlie enjoys walks, playing with other dogs and splashing in the water on a warm day so it shouldn’t take long to be looking svelte.
Charlie is housetrained and can be left alone in the house when you’re away without worry. He’s crate trained and loves his kennel – no need to close the door. A loyal, well behaved and compliant boy, Charlie doesn’t ask for much. He knows how to sit and is very good on and off the leash, adjusting his pace to yours. Greeting manners are wonderful and he’s a delightful car companion. He gets along well with other dogs – the younger, wild ones can be a little bothersome though. Some cats are a big ho-hum, but others are: “Oh, boy, let’s chase ya!”
Charlie is a truly wonderful, affectionate and undemanding Lab who loves being loved and treated gently and kindly. What he would love most of all is to be wherever you are and have a good long walk every day and then plop right down on a bed fluffed up just for him on your hearth.
