WHAT IS YOUR NAME? I’m Charlie! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I am a very sweet boy. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born right around the start of 2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a handsome pit bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? Around 45 pounds right now! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am black and white, but in the sun I have areas where my fur looks chocolate brown. I have a really cute pink spot on the left side of my nose. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? Right now I am eating my Purina Pro Plan Puppy kibble. I also love treats! My foster mom also gives me some carrots, broccoli and strawberries and I think those are really yummy. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a super friendly boy! I have loved every single person I have met so far! I am super goofy, but I am also very sweet. I love to give kisses and pretend I am a lap dog. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would include playing fetch with a toy or ball, snuggle with my human, take naps, chew on my squeaky balls, play with some dog friends, and go for a walk! I am really good in the car, so I think a day trip somewhere pretty would also be super fun! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I really love balls that squeak or big stuffed animals! I also really love to shred up toilet paper rolls! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, paw, and touch! WHAT SCARES YOU? I don’t think I have anything that my foster mom has discovered that scares me. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I have not been around children yet, but I think they would probably be pretty fun to play with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I have not been around cats, so I am not sure if I like them. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I think other dogs are pretty cool, and I would love to play with them. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? In a cozy bed, chewing on my toys next to my humans and dog friends. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Now that I have recovered from a fracture repair surgery, I am in perfect health! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, and two bulldog mixes who are my foster brother and sister. I really love my foster mom, but I think my foster sister is pretty cool too. I love to give her kisses and try to play with her, even though she isn’t sure exactly how she feels about my puppy energy yet! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep overnight in my crate. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I am still learning how to walk on a leash nicely, but I think it is really fun to be out on a leash and be able to sniff lots of plants on my walks! DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Sometimes I bark when my foster mom comes home, or when she has visitors, but I am responsive to correction! Sometimes when my foster mom has a long day at school, I make some holes in my cozy blankets. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) I am still working on going potty outside! I am doing really well. I always go poop outside and I can go up to five to hours right now in my crate before needing to go out! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love water! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster family gives me a really nice place to hang out while I am waiting for my forever family to find me. I am having fun hanging out with my foster siblings and I really like when we all hang out on the couch together while my foster mom does her school work. I also really love when my foster mom snuggles with me and gives me snacks when I do fun tricks! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO RESCUE? I was brought into the Stockton Animal Shelter, and I wasn’t using my right front leg properly. They took some x-rays and found out that I had a fracture which was already trying to heal on its own. OUCH! But I was still the sweetest boy. They brought me to UC Davis, where the nice people fixed my leg. Then one of the veterinary students took me home to heal so I can be healthy and happy for my forever home! Now NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is helping me to find my forever family.
