CHARLIE was a beloved pet in a family with kids and had to be surrendered because the young child had a traumatic experience with a DIFFERENT dog and now is terrified of ALL dogs. Charlie's great with kids, though, and other dogs, and is just a year old. He's a Bernese Mountain Dog mix and just gorgeous, too. He's about 70 lbs. We put him on our schedule to be neutered and microchipped, but that's included in his adoption fee even if he's adopted before it happens. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada for puppies who haven’t yet gotten their rabies shot - sorry!)
