This handsome and debonair Basset gentleman carries himself with class and joie de vivre in spite of having had a front leg amputated as a pup when he had an accident. Loved by all who meet him, he is a complete charmer who will sweep you off your feet! George Clooney, move over—Charles is in town! Born in 2006, he was used for breeding until the breeder gave up because of illness. Charles is a striking Basset because of his unusual colour pattern, all red with a bit of white on his chest. He has no trouble walking and getting around, but it would be best if he did not have to climb stairs in a home to reduce stress on his good front leg. Charles might disagree, because he soldiers on normally as if nothing is wrong. Soulful eyes, he loves to snuggle with his person and rest his head on your lap for a good massage, which he loves. Interested in the world, he is very friendly to all he meets, dogs, kids, and has been around cats too as there were cats in the barn in which he lived. Charles never had the opportunity to be housetrained, living like that, but should catch on quickly. He is to be neutered shortly, and will have his shots updated as needed, including Bordatella, and was heartworm tested negative, defleaed & dewormed.
