My Story

Chanel! A 2-year-old single girl looking for love. Blonde bombshell that has more than just a bounce to her step, we think she has springs in her paws. Measurements: Big heart, long wiggly tail, weighs in at 57lbs. Hobbies include playing fetch, scouting for treats and bouncing. She tries to be self aware and not take over people's personal space BUT IT IS REALLY HARD when you are as happy and excited to interact with hoomans as she is. Ideal match: Someone who is kind and patient...and FUN! She'd require a fenced-in yard where she can run, chase balls and burn some energy! Chanel would do best with children 12 years and up, as she doesn't understand how big she is. She loves treats, but she can take treats hard from smaller children and could accidentally hurt them. Chanel also does not know how big she is, and it would make her sad to accidentally knock over a tiny hooman! Chanel would love a home that would love to take her on adventures, walks, or maybe even runs, once she has some training! Quirks: Chanel can be pretty dog picky, but she does play well with other dogs. She would need to have a meet with any resident dogs living in the home. Smaller dogs may not be the best fit for her, as she does have a prey drive towards smaller animals like cats and bunnies. Even though Chanel does well with other dogs, she does not like share her food and toys (and even flowers) with other animals, so she would need to be fed separately away from other dogs and would not be able to be left unsupervised with other dogs. She loves to think that leashes are a signal for "RUN!" We are working with her on these behaviors, but she'll benefit with some training and consistency! Chanel does great at keeping her kennel clean and is even house broken (YAY!) but may need reminders on how that works once she is in a home. She is treat motivated, so that might help!
