Hello!
My name is Chance. I'm also called Yogi. It doesn't really matter what you call me, actually, because I was born deaf. No one told me I was born deaf so I actually didn't even know until recently when I went to dog training.
My trainer specializes in hearing impaired dogs and trained me to respond to a special collar. Now I act just like a hearing dog! When I'm wearing my collar I can come when I am "called". I know how to "sit", "down" and sometimes I can even "stay".
I am a big boy with a lot of strength. I am not for the weak or lazy. I may be getting up there in age, but I don't act like a senior. I'm young at heart and love to run and play with toys!
I'm great with dogs my size but I can be overwhelming to small dogs. I lived with a pug and a french bulldog in my last home. I didn't hurt them, but they didn't like me much!
I love people and especially little kids. I lived by some weird dogs that I think are called "horses, cows and chickens" I didn't like them AT ALL! Please tell me you don't have those kinds of dogs!
I'd really like someone that will play with me, run with me and at night cuddle with me. In return I will love you unconditionally, keep intruders away, give you wet slobbery kisses and act like a portable heater under your covers?

All of our dogs are FAMILY COMPANIONS!

Our adoption requirements are:

• You must be 21 years of age

• All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information)

• We do not place female boxers with other female dogs

• Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption!

• We do not adopt out dogs as gifts

Our adoption fees are as follows:
Puppies under 6 months old: $250
Dogs and Puppies over 6 months old: $200
Senior dogs over 6 years old: $150
Boxers and Buddies is operated 100% by the help of volunteers.
The volunteers spend their spare time helping dogs in need find new homes. Our volunteers have families, jobs, and dogs on their own that keep them very busy. They help when they can, so please be patient with our volunteers. If we don't get back to you in a timely fashion, don't hesitate to send a reminder email our way and we'll do what we can to get back to you. We do not have a 'shelter'. All dogs in need of homes are either in their surrendering home, a foster home, or at a boarding facility. As much as we want the dogs in rescue to be rehomed as quickly as possible, we all have time and area constraints that can sometimes slow the process down. Please know that we take rehoming dogs very seriously and want to make sure all of the dogs we place go to the right families. That can take time, so again, please be patient.
