My Story

Prepare to meet the newest little love of your life, Celia. At eight-months-old, Celia is a 35-pound Hound mix with a beautiful white coat and the most unique tan and black markings. Celia was rescued along with 7 other dogs found roaming outside in North, South Carolina. She and her friends were all covered in fleas and ticks, but with the love and care of Home for Good, she is getting great medical care and doing so much better. If Celia could talk, shed say it all with her ears. The expressive, floppy ears of hers tell allespecially how happy she is when she is around her friends. Because of her scary start in life, she can be a bit shy upon first meeting, but give her a little time and watch her flourish under your love and attention. Celia loves spending time in a sunny patch of grass, especially when she has a plush toy with her. Shed quite enjoy a trip to the store for some shopping and is willing to trade cuddles for an allowance. Celia is working very hard on her leash skills and walks well alongside you with gentle encouragement. She is also crate-training well, though good luck resisting the urge not to take her everywhere you go or sneak her into bed for snuggles. Celia has her bag of toys all packed and is ready when you are, so fill out an application today and make her (and your) dreams come true! Celia is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org** HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life! In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.
