This girl is a nervous, kind and soft girl, she is shy with people but very kind once she gets to know you. While she is reserved with people, Cayenne absolutely lights up around other dogs, she loves nothing more than playing with her playgroup buddies. For that reason Cayenne will need a like-sized playmate in her adoptive home and homes without another dog will not be considered for her unless you are interested in adopting her with one of her playmates here. She wants a home where she can hang out around the home and just play with her dog friend(s). Cayenne was born in approximately March of 2023, and weighs about 7 pounds. She has a very gentle yet spicy playful heart, and is a favorite here. She has also met and done very well with multiple cats she has met while with us. Cayenne needs a like sized small dog playmate and companion, due to her small stature we are not looking for large dog housemates for this pup. Cayenne is not the adventuresome type, being more of a happy homebody. She does not have an interest in going for walks unless she can be packed like a baby, and even that might be anxiety inducing for her. While she tolerates being held, she does not truly love it. She crates well, and is quiet in her crate. She’s a little bit like a mythical pixie or fairy (think classic tinkerbell). We can't wait to find this little girl someone who will love and respect her as much as we do! Cayennes adoption donation is $600 Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: - Securely and visibly fenced yard -Like sized dogs only (No large dogs in the home) - Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). - Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time. (3) You must be at least 18 years of age to complete the application or to apply to adopt a companion animal. For the safety of children and dogs and limited information on dog the dogs interaction with children- R.E.D generally prefers/requires children in adoptive home to be approximately 5 or 6 years of age and up unless otherwise noted in the dog profile. All children must be behavior appropriate with animals. (4) R.E.D. does not a ship animals to out of state adopters. Out of state adopters must come to meet the animal in person in Washington if approved for a meet and greet with a R.E.D. companion animal. Thank you.
