My Story

Meet Casey, she is very much like a Rubik's Cube. She looks like a simple dog but she is much more complicated than that. She'll take her time to warm up to you but the reward is amazing when she does. She can be very playful and energetic and want to play like a young puppy. She's stand-offish until she gets to know you then when she feels she can trust you she'll follow you around and ask pretty sweetly to lay in your lap. Sweet Casey Bear loves other dogs and can play and romp with the big dogs. As long as the other dogs play nicely, she will have the greatest time and help them burn off extra energy, but if they get a little too rough with her, she can, and will, hold her own to get them to play nice. I have a cat in my home and for the first week, or so, Casey was very curious to get a good whiff of the furry critter; then just left her alone. Casey can be, and Renegade will tell you, a resource guarder. She likes her toys and she loves her food. But once she recognizes you as pack leader almost all of that aggression and hoarding will fade away (but keep your guard up). Casey's background is heartbreaking and she just wants a family to love and love her equally. Once she is comfortable, she is an amazing sweet little dog with the heart of a puppy. So, like a Rubik's Cube, you do the work with her and be patient, the reward in incredible.
