Meet Carter!
Carter is just fine looking! We rescued him from an overcrowded kill shelter in TX. At approx 3 yrs old, he is still a young boy but past all those puppy behaviors!
He's a bit of a loner at the moment, he is still getting a sense for his surroundings, so he likes to hang back in the background, get the 'lay of the land' and watch
all that's going on. He is getting more comfortable as each day goes by but there's no hurry, we work with his comfort level.
Carter is a Dutch Shepherd, a highly intelligent breed, so he will definitely need plenty of physical and mental exercise in order to thrive. Yhese breeds need a job to do. He must have a confident pack leader to continue his training, someone who will be patient and able to work with him with positive reinforcement training.
