Lab LOVERS!!!!! Hi! I’m Carter. I am a 3 year old male yellow lab. I am searching for a new home where I can be the star of the show! I was having a hard time being alone in my previous home due to the busy life schedules of my humans. ABOUT: The humans in my life call me a sweetheart, energetic goofball, very loving, and active. Being alone is hard for me, I have some separation anxiety and need a patient and understanding family. I am cat-friendly and LOVE other dogs. I am calm and do not bark or jump. They say I am “ride or die”; truly a fur-ever sidekick!!!! HEALTHY AND HAPPY: Fully vetted, microchipped, altered, previous history of heart worm, though currently is heart worm negative, is healthy and thriving. Up to date on all vaccines, flea and tick prevention and monthly heart worm prevention. LOVES: being outside, going for car rides, lying with you on the couch! Being touched, kissed, and snuggled — belly scratches are a must! Swimming (though I don’t like going in too deep). Riding in the car. Playing with other pups. Perusing the counter at home for snacks… (dog-proofing is necessary). I am great on leash - but can use a little more training in that department. TOLERATES: Fireworks and storms (I am brave!) DISLIKES: Being in a crate (I need to be with my human), lots of stairs (ugh, going up and down is not for me) FAMILY PREFERENCES: - Home OFTEN; a family who can work from home is highly preferred. Minimal time in a crate would help me thrive! - Patient and willing to work with me on my seperation anxiety. - Maybe… a home with the least amount of stairs possible. - Someone who will live me LOTS of love and play!
