My Story

Please note donations using the SPONSOR ME tab will not go to Fluffy Dog Rescue. Also, we do not respond to the "Considering this pet for adoption" link on the right hand side of the listings. This is put on by Petfinder and we operate differently. We want you to go to our website and complete and application. To Locate Our Application go to http://rescue.fluffydog.net/how-to-adopt.html MY AGE: approx. DOB 2018 WEIGHT: 20 lbs MY STORY: 7/30 She’s a sweet but timid puppy mill mama. She’s getting used to us and everything around her since it’s all new. She doesn’t like sudden movements or approaching her quickly. We are taking it all slow and she seems to be ok with that. She lets us pet her and LOVES it when we throw a squeaky ball. She slept in the crate with Drake with no accidents. She’ll need an adopter who is willing to be patient with her and she will need another dog in the house. Right now she really looks to the other dogs to see how life outside a crate works. She’s just adorable and I can’t wait to see how the next days/weeks go as she adjusts to life in a house. Prior to 7/30 What a fun girl Carpaccio is! She has been opening up and is enjoying her interactions with humans, as well as all her new dog-friends she gets to play with every day. We got Carpaccio from a breeding farm, and her initial shyness towards us and her new environment began to go away as she got familiar with her new surroundings! Carpaccio’s tail is always wagging, and she loves to follow close on your heels and be involved in whatever is going on. She is a curious girl and always wants to be in on the action! Carpaccio loves snuggling up with her other small dog friends for naps, and adores stuffed toys (especially with squeakers)! She is a beautiful girl and will surely make her future adopter extremely happy. Carpaccio’s future adopter should know that because of her past being from a breeding farm, she will need time and patience to allow her to settle in to a new home. Everything will be new to her once again, and she will require ample time and space to decompress and settle-in! You will want to go to our Resources Page and read the article regarding breeder releases. She is shy, but is always watching us wanting to be our friend. She will not walk on a leash. She most likely has never lived in a home, so is not housebroken. There is a 3-3-3 rule of adjustment in rescue. With a dog like her you will need to double, triple or more that. She will need another dog in the home to help her feel more comfortable. Read more about Carpaccio on Facebook at Duke's Foster Shack. ADOPTION FEE: $750 To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION. Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess. WI License #270548. Check out Fluffy Dog Wellness on our Home Page.
