Meet Carly! This sweet girl was adopted from Animal Friends as a puppy in December 2022 (check out her adorable puppy pic!), but was unfortunately returned to us in July 2024 due to her family having to move and their landlord not allowing dogs. Her former family described her as a sweet dog who is friendly meeting new people. Carly is still a young dog who can display puppy-like energy, but does know how to listen. She is housebroken and would stand by the door to indicate she needed to go out. Carly is also crate trained and would spend time in her kennel at night and when the family was away from the house, since she sometimes tries to get into things when left out. She has previously lived with cats and kittens and done well. She did not live with another dog, but has spent time around other dogs and loves to play. Carly is ready to charm her way into a new home and give them all the love! Carly is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
