"Mel" is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves life. It is impossible to be sad when Mel is around, and she is quite a shelter favorite!
Mel is delighted either playing in the yard or going for a walk. While in the yard, she plays fetch (although sometimes she forgets to bring the toy back) or jumps in the baby pool. When it is time to go for a walk, she excitedly waits to be harnessed and to see what new things she can see and smell. Her leash skills are good, so she is a pleasure to walk.
Mel also likes other dogs and can walk calmly next to them or indulge in a bit of playful behavior. Cats do not bother her, either.
Mel would be a wonderful fit a family that is looking for an energetic and fun dog as a companion.
The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
