Fall in love with Captain. Give him a chance. Inquire about fostering this very special boy. It always amazes us how dogs with special needs don’t let anything get in their way of having a good time. As we continue to get to know this very special guy and learn what his needs truly are, he is nothing short of ADORABLE! Loves other dogs and people and even likes cats! He’s able to mobilize up and down stairs, and does well when crated. So he wears a diaper- big deal! We all wore diapers once and might again in the future! Captain was facing euthanasia just because he’s special needs Captain had his leg amputated and was able to recovery wonderfully, but later an X-ray showed a bullet lodged in his spine. The vets in Puerto Rico were concerned that if they removed the bullet Captain would be paralyzed.
