My Story

The Jindo Project, Inc. is currently pre-screening applicants for Candy, a very special 2 year old female Korean Jindo currently located in New York, NY. Candy was turned into a NYC shelter because her owners were leaving the country. She was saved by a rescue group who didn’t know that Candy was a real treasure; Korea’s 53rd national monument to be exact. Candy’s true identity was discovered during a search for a temporary foster home for to go to her while she recovers from knee surgery. Candy is expected to recover fully and there should be no problems with her living a full, active life after her knee is repaired.
Candy is looking for a forever home where she will be given leadership and love. In return, Candy will honor her humans with her loyalty and devoted companionship. It did not take Candy’s first foster family to discover what an honor it was to have Candy in their home. Candy is a beautiful girl with a very true Korean Jindo personality. An understanding of the breed is essential for fulfilling Candy’s needs. The ideal applicant for Candy will have prior dog experience or extensive knowledge of dogs and the ability to lead a dominant dog. For more information on the Korean Jindo, please visit www.jindoproject.org . If you are interested in applying to adopt Candy, please download an adoption application from www.jindoproject.org and email it to [email protected].
