Candy

Candy is an adorable wire-haired terrier mix. We're not sure of her breed mix, but we call her a "Jumbo Jack" because, at about 30 pounds, she looks like a tall, slender Jack Russell Terrier. Whatever she is, she's adorable! The vet guesses that she is 2 - 3 years old. She is obedient, calm and affectionate. Candy was abandoned along a highway in Arkansas. We were on our way to another rescue call when we found her. It's amazing that she wasn't hit by a car! She was full of ticks and definately needed to gain some weight. Now that the ticks are gone, she's doing much better but could still gain a few pounds. Her new family must understand that Candy is a bed hog! She loves to stretch out on the bed or the couch or whatever is nearby! She also loves to go for rides and would love to be adopted by an active family. If you're looking for a dog to just put out in the backyard, Candy is not for you. She loves companionship and attention. She is very good with children. Candy will only be adopted to a home that wants an indoor dog. With a dog this wonderful, why would you want to leave her outside anyway?
