Callie & Baker

Age: 10 years old and 13 years old Color & Breed: Red/white beagle mix and lab/basset mix Gender: Spayed female & neutered male Weight: 28 pounds and 56 pounds. Good with: Adults, kids, and dogs Callie #655 is the adorable bundle of joy you never knew you needed (until right now, that is.) Baker #656 starts with a B. “Best friend” also starts with a B—and that’s exactly what Baker wants to be! These two spunky seniors aren’t ready to be put out to pasture quite yet. Callie is head of Neighborhood Watch, patrolling the fenceline at her foster home whenever she goes outside. Then, once she’s ensured the area is safe for everyone, she’s content to come inside and nap (on the furniture, if you don’t mind.) Callie has an adventurer’s soul, taking over the captain’s chair on boat rides and climbing anything her little legs can get her onto. Callie is always happy to see people, especially if they have cheese. Walks are nice, as long as the walker goes at Callie’s pace. Callie’s best bud is Baker #656, but she also enjoys playing with other dogs, too, especially if they are new friends with new smells! Baker has no concept of personal space—his or yours—and loves inserting himself wherever the action is. Dog bed not big enough for two? Challenge accepted! Going on a walk? Leash on Baker first, please! If you love gardening but hate flowers, Baker is here to help—his new springtime hobby is depotting flowers. Baker is protective of his people but quick to warm up to strangers. He especially loves children, although sometimes he gets too excited, or they get too excited and make loud noises, which he’s not quite sure about. He doesn’t act like a 13-year-old dog, prancing happily alongside his people (especially if they have cheese!) Baker’s BFF is Callie #655. She keeps him safe from loud noises like thunderstorms. All potential adopters are expected to come and meet their new potential family members once approved. We do not ship or deliver dogs. We do not adopt dogs as gifts to others.
