Update 12/16/08: Callie is a cute, friendly and big-hearted puppy who's dreaming of finding her forever home in time for the holidays!
Callie follows her foster mom everywhere, like a very playful little shadow. She loves to cuddle and shower her people with warm puppy kisses. She seems very loyal and eager to please and learn.
Her foster family doesn't include any children, but Callie's foster mom thinks she would make a great family dog, because she'd just adore all the attention. She'll always meet her people at the door with a big smile and a wagging tail.
Like many young puppies, Callie is quite mouthy. This could be an issue for families with very small children. Her foster mom has been working on correcting the behavior, but, as with any puppy, it won't be totally outgrown overnight. She is probably a herding breed of some sort, and the mouthiness comes with the territory, it can be worked with, but takes some time and consistency
Callie gets along well with dogs and cats. She has demonstrated a fear of the horses she's met while tagging along with her foster mom.
Her foster family has started house training and crate training Callie, and they report good progress with both, and fewer accidents every day.
Ask about this adorable girl soon and grant her holiday wish!
Update: Callie arrived in ME on Saturday 12/6, she is much smaller than her pics, but was the hit of the day, with her compact little body, but huge personality! She was a fan of every other dog and loved everyone. Just a happy, SUPER friendly puppy! Fearless and loving!

Describe the dog in one good word or sentence encompassing the entire dog: Sweet puppy.
From the dogs perspective: My perfect home would be: "My perfect home would be with someone to keep me company and teach me how to be a good dog (since I am a puppy and need some training)."
