My Story

Callie is a loving, happy Collie / Shepherd who adores people! She is the kids' best friend and great with the other dogs. She cannot be placed in a home with cats since she wants to eat them but likes everyone else! Callie LOVES the water. We haven't seen a dog who likes the water near as much as she does. Apparently this fluffy black/brown girl is a Labrador at heart! She walks well on a choke collar, is housetrained, crates well, and has great manners. She can jump a 4 foot fence so needs either a higher fence or no fence. She doesn't run away, just hops over the fence to see what is on the other side. She has seen her fair share of being bounced around as of late. Callie was dumped at the pound through no fault of her own and bounced through a couple different places since. Because of this she has one flaw..in a new home she is anxious the first couple days. She doesn't quite know what to think. Is this finally her forever home? Or is this just another temporary stop along the way? She has some extra nervous energy the first couple days but give her a week to adjust and you will have a dog that will exceed any expectations you could have had. She is that wonderful. All Callie needs is someone willing to stick with her through another, and hopefully final, transition. Whoever does will be rewarded ten-fold! For obvious reasons, all animals adopted from Homeward Bound MUST live indoors only.
