CALLIE is a darling girl!! We believe she is about 1 year of age and looks to be a Spaniel mix. CALLIE was seen running loose and scared on the street… she was caught and brought to the local shelter. Her hair was long and matted and filled with embedded foxtails. She was emaciated under all that hair too.
We rescued CALLIE from the shelter and got her coat shaved, treated by our veterinarian who removed embedded foxtails and slowly reintroduced to food. CALLIE is looking and feeling much better now, and we see a very happy, friendly girl now!!
CALLIE looks and acts very puppyish…she has that adorable puppy clumsiness and playfulness. She’s a smart girl and very treat/food motivated making training easy peasy with her. She has the curious and intent nose to the ground smelling/searching that is characteristic of the spaniel breeds.
CALLIE is dog friendly and always up for playing… she can be a bit dominant and can hold her own with the bigger dogs. She is great at fetch/retrieving and will do that all day if you’re up for it!
CALLIE is crate trained and housetrained. She is good on leash and great on adventures outside the home. She would love an active family that will take her fun places where she can explore and take in new smells!
CALLIE seems to be fine with the cats in her foster home, and has done well meeting children.
She really is just the best girl and is going to be a great family dog for some lucky family!!!
Home ownership and a single family home with attached yard and secured fencing is required.
CALLIE’S adoption fee is $600 Includes a current health examination, current vaccinations, spay, microchip, flea and deworming treatment, along with medical grooming and removal of embedded Foxtails, as well as an antibiotic treatment to prevent infection.
