CAGNEY (BOY)

MEET CAGNEY! (BOY) A neighbor saw two dogs being very neglected and she couldn't stand it any more so she reached out for help! The owners were leaving them outside in a hard travel crate, in the heat for hours on end! For a month, many rescuers tried to help them. We went there to try to offer them money to surrender them a month ago but they refused. They did give us a 4 week old kitten because a dog had killed the mama cat and so they killed the dog!!! WTH!!!! Many people rallied together calling the shelter and demanding something be done! Due to the pressure, the owner was told he had 10 days to get them a rabies vaccine and finally agreed to hand them over! They were full of fleas so they were bathed at a doggie wash and then went straight to Urgent care because it was assumed that 6lb Lacey was pregnant!! Cagney is a Maltese blend and is about 3 years old and weighs about 10lbs. Cagney is a super friendly boy and very affectionate!! Cagney has never met a stranger and gets along great with other dogs!! Want to meet this sweet boy?
