I lived a very neglectful life until I was saved from my situation by a very kind woman who took me to her vet, as I was covered in fleas, was all skin and bone, a dreadful sight but for my beautiful face full of hope. She had me treated for the fleas and the skin irritation they caused—I was miserable with them!!! Then she gave me a very special name, a beautiful name—that of a very early poet—so I would feel special too.
I am a male German Shepherd mix of about 5 or 6 years and I weigh 66 pounds—I gained 20 needed pounds as she cared for me til she found Gerdy after being turned down by other rescues. I am housetrained, good with children, other friendly dogs, and cats. My savior taught me to sit, lie down, and to shake a paw! Gerdy is getting me neutered and fixed up with any vaccines etc that are necessary.
I tested heartworm free and am on Revolution. Everyone is amazed through all my misery I kept a hopeful and loving heart. Now I am ready for the BEST years of my life—a forver loving home with YOU.
