ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Buttercup is friendly, sweet and has been an excellent mama to her 6 adorable puppies. She loves being with people, including kids - she LOVES her foster's daughter who is 12 year old. She is fine with cats - completely ignores cats. Buttercup seems fine with my two females, she hasn't engaged with them, so I don't know if she will eventually become more playful with dogs or would just coexist with them.
Now that her puppies are in the process of being weaned and she does not need to be with them at all times, she has become part of her foster's "entourage". She will hang out with her in the office with her other pups and follow her throughout the house. She prefers to sleep in bed with her humans and will cuddle with or sit on her foster's lap at times when watching tv. She takes treats gently. She has had excellent potty habits.
Buttercup has not been taken on walks because the foster has a fenced in backyard and she has been very attentive to her puppies. The foster kept her on a leash around the house as she settled in and she did well on the leash.
Miss Buttercup is not a fan of being confined in a crate by herself - at all. She did fine in a crate while she was in the same room as her foster. She has been fine being left alone in the house - as long as she is not contained.
She is very human food motivated and if given the opportunity will counter surf and has even jumped on the table if a chair is not pushed in. She is very sweet and not a high energy pup. She has barked only a handful of times but it's been when the foster's dogs started it. She has funny little antics - at times she finds it necessary to remove the water bowl and/or food bowl and/or toys from the puppy pen and place them somewhere else (in the house or under the deck).
Buttercup I such a sweet girl and we hope that you think so too.
