My Story

ADOPTED! - Hi! My name is Buttercup! I’m a Pomeranian mix and I’m a pretty tiny girl at just under six pounds--even though I’m full grown at one year of age. When I was a baby I was supposed to go to a place called “Pet Store” but I was just so scared of the big world and all of the big people in it, so they didn’t send me there because they thought I was a bit too shy. Now that I’m older I’m learning to trust all of the big people around me, but what I really, really, really love is other dogs! They help me remember to play and have fun. I am a little bit nervous around new people, but if you’re a person who would take the time to gain my trust, I would reward you with lots of snuggles and kisses! (I might even share my favorite toy if you’re REALLY nice.) I am spayed and all of my vaccines are up to date. In short, I am all ready for just the perfect home, with another little dog to play with AND a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing.) Of course because I am so tiny I would have to go to a place that only had kids over the age of ten! Oh… there is something called my “adoption fee” and that is $275. I’m not sure exactly what that is, but I know that I am worth every single penny of it! Would you like me to be YOUR little Buttercup? If so, please send my foster mom a short "bio" of yourself (her e-mail address is: [email protected]) and then--if she feels we'd make a good match--she will e-mail you an adoption application to fill out and return. (PS: Don't forget....I need another small dog to be my playmate, and a safely fenced yard.)
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name above this dog's photo) before contacting us.
