Butter Bean is a 1-year old, 65 lb male, Shepherd mix breed.
Butter Bean is currently located in South Texas and will be transported.
Butter Bean is one of three pups rescued from a truly awful situation. Luckily, the siblings were rescued at a very young age, and have been with the same foster throughout so they are sweet and gentle souls. Until now their foster has tried unsuccessfully to re-home them without the assistance of a rescue group, but hopes that they can be adopted by loving people who will work with them to transition them into the life they deserve, as beloved indoor dogs and true family members. At their foster home, they are primarily "ranch dogs," so they are accustomed to livestock and spend all their days outdoors. They are all well socialized to people, love to play with children and interact with other dogs (no exposure to cats though), but they have lived in the barn and are not accustomed to indoor living. The ideal adopter for Butter Bean and his siblings, Itty Bitty and Sister, would be a patient person willing to complete this rescue story and work to give these dogs the life they deserve. They are young and very trainable, and respond to love and treats.
Butter Bean is a quiet and smart boy. This gentle boy is quite a bit bigger than his sisters, and is the protective big brother, making sure his sisters don't get into any trouble. Bean loves to be petted and loved on by his foster family, and is good with the children. He does bark at the donkey when the donkey gets sassy with them. Butter Bean would love a home with a yard to run around in, and a patient person or family to help him learn his new role as a beloved family pet.
