Welcome Buster! This young lad, 1 year and 10 months old, was considered too active by his adoptive family and he was returned to the shelter where he quickly ran out of time and was scheduled to be put to sleep. Fortunately for Buster, his guardian Angel, Joanne, pleaded with Rawhide to take him in and so we did. He has barely arrived and is now settling in to his new foster home and with his "foster mates", Sara, Leyla and Abby. Buster was recently neutered and is still trying to figure out why Sara is in charge and not him. Well, he's got a lot to learn, doesn't he. As you can see from the video, Sara is the dominating dog and Buster is learning to accept the fact that "the woman is in charge".

We really like this young, slightly build boy. He looks like a miniature Bernese Mountain Dog with a smooth coat but someone felt that he really looked like an Entlebucher. What do WE know? We deal in more common breeds but they have a point. Buster is already neutered, fully inoculated, microchipped, dewormed, housetrained and also sits nicely when going in or out the door, and........what else could he be?

We think he'll make someone a great athletic pet, maybe a running companion or an agility prospect. He seems very sweet and loves to relax by your side after a good, long walk or run. He's adjusting to other dogs and we think he'll blend right in shortly. Surrounded as he is by females, he has to learn that it's not always about being in charge, but mostly about getting along.
