Buster-Adopted

Buster This guy has literally charmed everyone he has ever met! Buster is part of an animal cruelty case where his past mate, litter, and himself, were left behind for 2 weeks before rescue got to them. Sadly, all of his family got placed but him. He is a champion in every way. He is almost surely pure bred as he was being used to stud. His stance, intelligence and loyalty speak to his breeding. He had skin cancer which was removed, so he has been given a clean bill of health. Of course, as with all pure bred boxers, you must watch for lumps and bumps as they are prone to cancer. The good news is all the tissue surrounding his tumor was benign, and he appears to be the specimen of health and vigor for a 3-5 year old boy with many scars to speak of a long life. To meet Buster and look in his eyes is to love him. He truly just loves life and all people, and has the personality to boot! However, he is not great with all dogs and can be curious about cats. Now for the complicated part …he met Rosie, another pure bred boxer at the same shelter, a day before we rescued them. It has been a magical love story ever since. Honestly, I have been in rescue for over 9 years now, and NEVER have I seen 2 dogs bond like these two. They lay side by side, they groom each other, they guard each other…they LOVE each other. Buster was there for the birth of Rosie’s babies and helped with their care. It has been a true once in a lifetime experience. So, we are hoping against hope to place these two amazing souls together. Both are crate-trained, housebroken, and utd on shots and fixed (Rosie is soon to be fixed). They would thrive in a home together and are fine with children, but only okay with some dogs and cats. Words cannot express how special BOTH of these dogs are, and all they have been through.
