Jan 18, 2005: Buster was neutered & vaccinated , but like many dogs from LA he tested positive for Heartworms.
Jan 18, 2006: Buster was transferred to the National Boston Terrier Rescue.
Feb. 13, 2006: I am saddend to report that Buster passed away on Monday Feb. 13, 2006. He had his first HW treatment and was doing OK. After his second treatment Buster threw an embolism. He was rushed to the emergency hospital and kept on oxygen. He seemed to be doing better but about 2a.m. he threw another embolism and passed away. A very sad ending to a very sweet dog. Buster was creamated and his ashes will be scattered.
Heartworms are preventable. Please put your pets on a monthly HW preventative. It will save their life.
