APRIL 30 - Burban is on our right (red/black nose) and Notcho is on our left (black nose).
Volunteer notes: Burban is one of the "Shar-pei twins". He is a little more affectionate than his brother is right now and seemed to also be a little bit more vocal. Burban and Notcho are two peas in a pod and are a delightful pair! With faces like these two have, who could not love them?! Neither dog has had much leash experience, but seem to be doing better with each passing day they are out for their walk. Burban didn't pull much while on leash, although he did wander a bit from side to side with me tripping at each turn! Even though Burban didn't want to play with the balls or toys today, he was still good company. When in the off leash area, he would wander around checking things out, barking at the odd dog that passed by and when you called to him, he'd stop by for a quick hug and a pat! Shar-pei's can be aloof, in general, and these two really seem no different. It did take a while before these guys showed any interest in their walkers. Stop by and take a look at the 'twins', spend some time with them, and then tell me how you could resist those faces!
Please phone or drop by the shelter for more information and quote ID # 37464.
Adopting a pet is a long term commitment. Dogs can live 8-14 years while cats can live an average of 15-20 years. During the time you own a pet, you may change jobs, move, get married or divorced, have children, or have your children grow up and leave home. Don't let one of these events cause you to abandon or give away a pet. Pets become extremely attached to their owners and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. Avoid hurting and causing undue stress to a helpless animal. Before you adopt, please seriously consider the long-term commitment involved.
