Bura (LOCAL)

Meet beautiful Bura - a gorgeous 3 year old neutered male Presa Canario. Bura was living with his family and their other dog, however Bura and the current dog are not meshing well. The family brought Bura to our trainer in CT for help but they have all reached the conclusion that it would be best to rehome him for the safety and well being of both dogs. As with any mastiff breed, he needs to a strong and responsible owner. He has not demonstrated any aggression towards young children, however due to his size and protective nature we are recommending a home with children 15 or older (no young children) due to likely frequency of young visitors.

From Bura's Trainer:
"Bura is fairly typical of the breed, serious in nature, but very playful and animated with his humans. The other dog has been determined to be the primary instigator in the scuffles, no injuries have ever occurred. Bura has been in daycare here and gets into scuffles, but does not escalate or cause injury. It is unlikely he would be accepted at another daycare, nor does he really have an interest in playing with other dogs. He would just as soon co-exist with them but not interact. That has been the problem at the home, the other dog insists on dog - dog interaction and will not take no for an answer. For the time being the family can keep Bura, but they will be adopting two children within a month or two, and we really need Bura out of the house by then to avoid exposing the kids to this chaotic and stressful situation"
