Though he can be a bit difficult to catch at first due to his nervousness, once he's in your arms, he's the most affectionate companion you could ask for. Bug adores scratches and enjoys hanging out in groups during puppy parties. He gets along wonderfully with everyone-both dogs and people alike. Despite being a senior, Bug has the spirit and energy of a puppy. He eagerly approaches people for pets and treats and even dances for food. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. Because some of our dogs are very under socialized, they may not be a good fit for young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
