Buddy is a male Collie or mix who is around 1 year of age. Buddy was brought to the shelter after his owner's husband was going to shoot him to get rid of him. In desperation, tearfully she brought Buddy to us, fearful for his life. Buddy has the build and look of a smooth-coat Collie. He is extremely intelligent and loves people. He has been good with the other dogs at the shelter and according to his foster mom, he is good with cats as well. Buddy adores children, having been kid tested in his prior home so he would be the perfect dog for a family with kids. He is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. Nothing would make him happier (or us or his previous owner!) than for Buddy to find a loving new family to love. There is a question as to whether Buddy is good with fowl (chickens, ducks, etc) so to be better safe than sorry, we will place Buddy with a family with no feathered friends. He adores people and would be great with children.
