Buddy! Shy!

OK- I know we aren't supposed to play favorites...but this guy is my absolute favorite at the shelter. A quiet boy with a lot of love to give and no chance to do it yet...the kind of dog that "asks" if he can get on your lap and if he trusts you enough to lay his head on your shoulder- it means the world!! Buddy is such a cute guy- he is looking for a new home already at 8 months of age. So far Buddy hasn't been very active, and we haven't heard a peep out of him. He is a very nervous guy- it is obvious that someone has hit him in the past- but he is not the least bit aggressive and is best described as gentle and a lap baby. Buddy likes everyone that wants to spend time with him (though he is a bit shy with men) and is good with other dogs. We think Buddy would be just great for an adults only family or one with older kids (over 8) since he is leery of fast movement towards his head and we can just see him lounging on the couch between walks and play sessions with a frisbee! Please give Buddy a chance!!
All of our dogs receive extra love and attention. They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason.
