Buddy Chow

Meet Buddy Chow! Buddy is a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow mix that is around 8-9 years old. Buddy came to us after he was transferred from another shelter. Buddy Chow will need an experienced owner/family who is familiar with resource guarding. Buddy displays some resource guarding behaviors over food and toys. Although, as pictured above, you will see that Buddy LOVES tennis balls. He enjoys spending time in the play yard surrounded by them. Buddy does require slow, positive introductions. Once this sweet boy is familiar and comfortable with his surroundings, he is a great kisser and is yours forever! He loves to be pet and shown affection. Over time, he has improved with socialization. Dog staff feel as though more improvement could be made outside of a shelter setting.
