Buddy is a large handsome Neutered Clumber Spaniel male with Lemon markings and a docked tail.
Buddy is almost 5 years old and at almost 80 pounds he believes himself to be a "Lap Dog". Buddy loves everybody and wants to snuggle close, give warm wet kisses and of course climb on your lap. You have to picture Buddy on a lap, there is approx the middle 1/3rd of Buddy on your lap and the other 2/3rds are off your lap on either side. Or, there may be just the front 1/3rd on your lap to snuggle and kiss better and the rest of him sitting at your side. Either way, Buddy is "in" your lap. What a great guy!
Buddy does better in the company of females or submissive males.
Buddy enjoys water and loves to walk in it, swim in it or lay down in it. On hot days Buddy enjoys ice in his water.
Buddy craves human companionship and certainly enjoys walks on lead and car rides.
Buddy knows basic commands. He is very intelligent and sometimes chooses to not hear what you said. With a little personal time and review training Buddy will be a very happy attentive companion as well as gentle and especially loving.
Buddy is comfortable where ever he is, in the house, in the car or in the fenced yard with his friends.
Such an exceptional boy deserves a person or family and a home of his own so he can be the special companion he craves to be.
Buddy must be an inside valued family member.
Buddy has been diagnosed as having a hypo-thyroid condition. His thyroid does not produce as much as it should. Buddy will need to be maintained on his thyroid medication through out his life. The medication is not expensive, however it is necessary. Please take this into consideration as part of the commitment needed to adopt Buddy. His medication is a small price to pay to have such a fine dog as part of your family.
