Eight month old Buddy is perfectly named! He’s a true little buddy: adorable, affectionate, playful. And to top it all off, he’s a pure 50 pounds of sweet, irresistible Chocolate. Buddy is still very much a puppy in his zest for, well, everything! He’s a typical active young Lab who relishes exercise and your guidance on how to be a good, good boy.
Buddy is housetrained, crate trained and rides well in the car. He walks quite nicely on a Halti harness and is very manageable for even our petite volunteer. He takes treats very gently. This incredibly friendly pup needs some work on his “four on the floor” greeting manners. Buddy gets along beautifully with other dogs and LOVES to play, play, play. Like some kids, Buddy is learning to be a little more generous about sharing his food. Speaking of food, he can be interested in what’s up there on your counter.
Affectionate Buddy is a sweet cuddler and will want to cuddle with you in bed or on the sofa while you're watching TV. He knows fetch and will bring the ball back to you, but is working on "drop." Buddy knows sit, shake and is learning to lie down. He's very trainable and learns quickly though, like any youngster, has his own ideas at times. Buddy is ready to do his homework with you and be at the top of his training class.
