ADOPTED! - Hi, Everybody! My name is Buddy, and I am the sweetest, most loving, best behaved dog you'll ever meet! (I'm not sure if I'm a Pug/Chihuahua or a Puggle, but....whatever mix of breeds I am, I sure am cute, don't you agree? My owners had to give me up because they were getting a divorce and they said didn't have the money to buy dog food (which I don't understand because I really don't eat that much, but....). Oh, how I miss them and wish they would take me home again. I was such a great family dog, and I loved them SO VERY much! But....I don't think they are coming back for me.... So now I guess I need to find a new "forever home"--one that really IS "forever" this time. .
OK....to tell you a little more about myself.... I'm about 3 years old, and I weigh about 14 lbs. I get along great with other dogs, I do fine with cats (actually, I'm afraid of them) and I adore kids (although a small child might accidentally injure me, so a family with older children would work better for me). I would love to be adopted by someone who doesn't work all day, as I don't want to be a latchkey dog. (Someone who works part time, is retired, or works out of their home would be perfect for me.) I walk well on a leash, but I'd also love to have a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). Oh, and I forgot to mention.... Although riding in a crate is recommended because it's safer for me, I do ride beautifully just loose in a car. As soon as the driver turns the ignition key, I lie down quietly on my pillow without even being told to do so. Isn't that cool? I'm microchipped, wormed, spayed, heartworm tested, and immunized--and my adoption fee is $275. If you think I would be the right dog for you, please send a short "cover letter" (explaining a little about yourself, your daily schedule, etc.) to:
[email protected] and then--if my foster mom feels you would be a good fit for me--she will e-mail you an adoption application.
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" adjacent to the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and they are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name above this dog's photo) before contacting us.
