Buddy

Buddy is a wonderful dog! Easy to have around, fantastic with children, loves car rides and other dogs, and never messes in the house. His issue: he is very cautious around people, probably because life wasn’t great in the southern kill shelter from which he was rescued. He comes alive at the dog park when socializing with other dogs, his tail wags, and he leaps like a rabbit which is hysterical to watch (by the way, people at the dog park always comment on how handsome he is!)! We’ve made great strides in a few months as he is no longer afraid of everything from doorways to staircases but he still needs a lot of T.L.C. and would do best, I think, in a home with another dog and/or a home where someone can keep him company. I currently bring him to my job where he is extremely quiet, sitting under my chair all day; he is still too timid to interact with people. My work schedule which is going to increase and my lifestyle don’t allow the time this great dog deserves.
