Buddy

Buddy is sweet, gentle, and friendly. He is medium sized "Benji look-a-like" who is homeless because his human died. Buddy enjoys being talked to, and he always glues himself next to his foster mom when they sit on the sofa - he didn't want to be even one inch away. He doesn't have any problem being brushed, and seemed to enjoy it. He also enjoyed having his back massaged - he seemed to crave as much human interaction as possible. We hope to find him a home where someone will be home with him most of the time, if possible. He's a gentle, loving guy. He's great with people, most dogs and cats. As a middle aged gent he might not appreciate young human toddlers pulling and pushing him but we don't know for sure how he would react. No children in his previous home. Buddy is maybe 6 yrs old and has the other half of his life expectancy to spend with you! Every worker or volunteer who has met him has fallen in love with him. They're going to want updates once he's adopted ;-) He loves to ride in the car and walks nicely on a leash. He sits on command. He's a wonderful companion! Each Joyful Rescues pet has been thrown away at least once. Pets are not disposable because your life has changed. Before you decide to bring a pet into your home, make absolutely sure that it will be a life time commitment. When our pets leave us we want them to go to their forever homes. Our adoption donation/fee is based on the cost of vet care as well as the adoptability of the pet.
