Buddy came to us in deplorable condition – badly matted, dirty, depressed. But look at him now! He’s a spruced-up – and happy – version of his former self.
He loves snuggles, but still has an aversion to being picked up, probably from someone being rough with him, so one should be sensitive to his needs.
Buddy loves to go for walks with the shelter volunteers, and he has become a favourite strolling partner. He has so charmed his way into people’s hearts that even big-dog fans think he’s great.
As a “mature” guy, he only needs a couple of fun and interesting walks a day. The rest of the time he’ll be one fortunate family’s cute, sweet and loving “best Bud(dy)!” Buddy enjoys the company of other dogs, and often hangs out in a play yard at the shelter with another canine – the two of them snurfling about to check out the latest fascinating “sniffs,” and watching the rowdy younger dogs race around.
Please be advised that our dogs are strays, so we do not have any background history on them. To meet any of the dogs, please visit the Vancouver Animal Shelter (VAS) at 1280 Raymur Avenue in Vancouver, or call 604-871-6888.
