BUCKSHOT

We had such a great time with Buckshot at the Tractor Supply Adoption Event! Buckshot got the least amount of attention but he was by far the BEST acting dog there. This handsome Chocolate Lab mix LOVES everyone, and offers up such an open hearted smile and invitation to be his friend forever. He was originally found in a steel animal trap with his foot caught and very hurt. We later found that he was full of "buckshot" and thus his name. On the run apparently for a while as a stray, this boy is still fearful enough to not enjoy the company of other dogs. We understand that his past has made this "no other dog" rule a must for him. He can be around them but not live with one. Despite this restriction he is a good and happy dog. Not mean in any way. Just a fear that another dog will hurt him. He loves rides in a car and is wonderfully comfortable in a crate. He is so well behaved in a house and we found out at Tractor Supply that he LOVES to shop! He went to Tractor Supply, Lowe's and Home Depot with his human foster and he was happy as a clam and smiling at all the people he met walking up and down the aisles. Such a social butterfly! He is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped. This boy is 2-3 years old and weighs 45 pounds. He is deserving of a good life where he can spread some happiness to the people around him.
