Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Bubba is a survivor of abuse He was brought into rescue and You can see he was in pitiful shape ? His owners abandoned him. Someone was supposed to be coming by to “take care of him.” They ended up trying to kill him leaving him with a severe open wound on his neck. He survived. How?? But he did!!! He required 3 neck surgeries to repair the damage. Has an affected eye he had surgery on. Had an awful case of demodectic mange And was also heartworm positive (he has completed his his HW Treatment). Mange has cleared up. We believe Bubba to be approximately 2- 3 years old, up to date on vaccinations, neutered & microchipped. He would do best in a home with no other animals. He absolutely loves people. With his accident, we are not sure if that has made him on edge with others. When a dog surprises him, he goes into protect mode. We also believe it could be due to the sight in his right eye. We do require adoption fees that are based on the age & health status of the adoptable dog. The adoption fee covers every single dog in CHR with vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, microchip, spay/neuter & medications. All CHR adoptable dogs are current on their monthly heartworm and flea medication.
