Brutus

On May 19/09 A litter of 6 puppies arrived at our shelter. They were only 10 days old and their eyes were still closed. Their mother was involved in a bite incident (likely defending her puppies) and had to be shot by the police, leaving a litter of orphaned puppies. They were brought to a foster home and were bottle fed for several weeks until they were old enough to eat on their own. They are now plump 10 week old (Jul 27) puppies who are growing like weeds and ready to go off to their forever homes! We were unable to see the mother, so are unsure of their exact breeding but our best guess is Shepherd/Husky cross, but two of the males look like they have a bit of Elkhound in them and the females look like they may have some lab mixed in. Brutus was born on May 9/09. Brutus is the quietest puppy of the litter. He is happy spending time alone, contemplating the life of a puppy. He enjoys playing with his siblings, and gets along great with other dogs and cats, but he needs his alone time. While all the puppies are out playing in the living room he will often retreat to the bathroom (where their kennel is) and relax. If you’re looking for an easygoing puppy, then Brutus is the one for you! Our dog adoption fee is $150 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip. Puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption will require a $300 refundable (upon proof of surgery being presented to MLDHS) spay/neuter deposit.
