Hi my name is Bruno, I’m around 3 years old and weigh 20 lbs. I lived in a puppy mill in Pennsylvania all my life producing puppies. My name there was Boston #3. On May 28, 2008, the ASPCA rescued me and closed down the puppy mill. I guess I was special because the whole story was on the Oprah Winfrey show. I was brought to a shelter in PA where I was neutered, and then I was rescued again by Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue. I was transported five hours to Long Island where I currently live in foster care with one of their volunteers. I have an ulcerated left eye which I'm permanently blind in. Don't worry though, I see very well out of my right eye. I learned how to get along with other dogs and how to chew on marrow bones and play with toys. I was chained in the puppy mill which gave me a red mark around my neck that is now gone. I learned how to go up and down stairs and jump on my bed. I'm good in the car and I was also leashed trained with a harness. I am a beautiful boy right now and its time I am placed in a permanent home to live where someone will have the patience to continue teaching me what it is to be a pet. It took me some time to trust people because of the horrible conditions I lived in, I lack some self confidence, but I'm loyal and I'll give you butterfly kisses. I don't bark because I'm so happy being in a peaceful home. I like sleeping in a bed and cuddling under your arm and I don't even move all night, but I snore a bit. I'll sit outside on a chair with you or on the couch watching T.V. eating some popcorn. We require an application, adoption fee and home check.
