My Story

Meet Bruno, a playful 16-week-old German Shepherd with a heart full of curiosity and energy. This little guy is just beginning his adventure in the world and is eager to learn everything about his new life. Like all puppies, Bruno needs a bit of help with the basics. He's in the process of potty training and is getting the hang of crate training, but he'll need a bit of patience and guidance as he continues to improve. Socialization is key for a pup like Bruno. He's a friendly guy who loves meeting new people and other dogs, but it's important to keep introducing him to different environments and experiences so he grows up to be a well-adjusted adult. Regular playtime and positive reinforcement will help him build confidence and learn the ropes. We recommend all puppies go through a positive reinforcement training class. If you're ready for the challenge and joy of raising a German Shepherd puppy, Bruno is eager to meet you. He's looking for someone who can offer a little structure, plenty of love, and a lot of playtime. If you think you can give this sweet boy the attention and care he needs, he'll be a loyal and loving companion for years to come. If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
