Bruiser is an 11-month-old papillon in August 2008. Weighing about 5 1.2 pounds, he is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on shots.
He was surrendered by his owner to a relative because she could not get him housebroken.
The relative asked Illinois Humane to find a home in which Bruiser would be trained and appreciated.
It didn't take the foster mom but a few days to have Bruiser quite housebroken.
He is bright, friendly, energetic and will make a great companion for someone who likes to train dogs for obedience, agility and perhaps as a therapy dog.
