Bruiser

On May 19/09 A litter of 6 puppies arrived at our shelter. They were only 10 days old and their eyes were still closed. Their mother was involved in a bite incident (likely defending her puppies) and was shot by the police, leaving a litter of orphaned puppies. They were brought to a foster home and were bottle fed for several weeks. They are now plump 10 week old (Jul 27) puppies who are growing like weeds and ready to go off to their forever homes! We were unable to see the mother, so are unsure of their exact breeding but our best guess is Shepherd/Husky cross - but Brutus and Bruiser both looked a little like they had some Elkhound in them. Bruiser was born on May 9/09. He is very sweet and affectionate and loves to be cuddled. He is a total Mama's boy and will seek out his foster mom for hugs and kisses. He enjoys spending time with his siblings, and is well socialized with other dogs and cats. He is very quiet and isn't a big barker. He is darker and smaller than his sibling, Brutus. He sleeps quietly through the night in a kennel with his siblings. Our dog adoption fee is $150 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip. Puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption will require a $300 refundable (upon proof of surgery being presented to MLDHS) spay/neuter deposit.
